So, Rebecca III is well under way and here is a snippet of what to expect. Unlike Rebecca & the Spiral Staircase and Rebecca – A Way Back, I am going to relax things, taking a slightly different, lighthearted look at her world.
In Rebecca’s book of Fairies, Pixies, Elves, and other amazing things, I am going to introduce a lot of my own illustrations. I expect this book to be available around April/May 2018.
Below is Rebecca opening lines… followed by some of what to expect in the way pf illustrations. The idea of this article is to give you a sneak preview what to expect in Rebecca’s world.
All the paintings have a lot of Rebecca’s input and have been put to paper by me. I hope that makes sense.

The boring copyright stuff is at the bottom.
Hello everyone, my name is Rebecca, and I am 25-years-old.
The first time I met you was when my author introduced me through Rebecca & the Spiral Staircase, when I was just 15-years-old. Even though I was still young, I was finding it increasingly difficult to see the world as I did when I was a child. Right from the age of five or six, I realised that my world was different. For adults, I knew they just saw the heather swaying in the wind. I, however, saw the fairies that played among the undergrowth. As I grew older, I recognised that, for the most part, although those around me delighted by my vision saw my views as merely a fantastical world of dream like child notions.
Just after my fifteenth birthday, I moved with my family to the north of England into an amazing gothic house. I delighted in our grounds that extended for 26 acres, which was the home to a number of woodland areas made up from huge mature conifers, ancient oaks, and youthful willows. It was in one of these woods where I found the key that opened the door to a delightful old summerhouse nestling by a vast lake. When I first entered the summerhouse, I discovered a rickety spiral staircase. I climbed these stairs, and that was the beginning of my adventures into the history of our old house. At the time, I believed the stairs were the doorway back, although I subsequently realised I could travel without them.
I learnt from Meredith in 1853 that I had inherited a gene that carried memories from my grand-parents and further back still. That gene enabled me to manifest myself into their era and see their world through their eyes. Often I stayed for long periods, forming strong bonds with those around me. However, as soon as I returned to my own time, I struggled having felt no emotional detachment. I leant that this was because, although I had felt as if I was there, I was actually only seeing that world through the eyes of another.
At 20-years-old, I went to university to study English. There I found an advocate and confidant in Ms. Sam Pochard, who delighted in, and understood my vision. She encouraged me to write about my world, tales, and snippets from my journeys. With the help of Steve (Stephen M Davis), I hope to show you a doorway into that world. Along the way, I will introduce you to the fairies, pixies, elves, and other amazing things that I have encountered. I intend to bring Meredith, my muse, along for the journey. As you may know, I like to draw and paint, so I intend to do some illustrations (again with the help of Steve) as we journey down this path into my and maybe your imagination. With the best words and vision, you just can’t imagine what a pixie house looks like, and hopefully, I will help you see what I see. My author, Steve also likes to paint, and I will show you his world along our journey.
So, I hope you enjoy the journey.
